Eric Hurwitz, DC, PhD, is Professor and Graduate Chair of Epidemiology and Chair of the Office of Public Health Studies in the Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. His research portfolio includes comparative effectiveness, health services, patient-centered outcomes, and epidemiologic studies using a variety of experimental and observational research designs and large clinical and population-based databases to study conventional and complementary and alternative interventions, including chiropractic care and spinal manipulation for managing back and neck pain. Dr. Hurwitz has published 170+ peer-reviewed articles.
