Christy Nishita

Director of the University of Hawaiʻi's Center on Aging

Dr. Christy Nishita is the Director of the University of Hawaii’s Center on Aging. She received her PhD in Gerontology from the University of Southern California. She has an extensive background in long-term care coordination, caregiving, Alzheimer’s disease support programs, eldercare workforce development, and age- friendly community development. At the Center on Aging, she is organizing a stellar team to strengthen the quality of community-based, applied aging research in Hawaii.
